- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook diced onion until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic powder and black pepper to the meat mixture, stirring well.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked meat, cream of mushroom soup, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the tots.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the tots are golden and cheese is bubbly.
