  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces (340g) penne pasta
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken slices with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, hot sauce, and lemon juice until smooth.
  5. Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce for less or more spiciness.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half and half for a lighter version.
  • For added flavor, include sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms.
