Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 ounces (340g) penne pasta
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken slices with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, hot sauce, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the cooked chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce for less or more spiciness.
- You can substitute heavy cream with half and half for a lighter version.
- For added flavor, include sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms.
