- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 4 cups beef broth
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add cooked meat, marinara sauce, beef broth, garlic, and Italian seasoning to the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- During the last 30 minutes, add broken lasagna noodles to the crockpot.
- Once cooked, stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan, and chopped basil.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or veggie crumbles for the beef.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
- Use gluten-free noodles to make it gluten-free.
