- 1 pound chicken tenders or chicken breast cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra flavor)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly.
- Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
- To enhance crispiness, lightly spray the tenders with cooking spray before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
- Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes for best crispiness.
