- 12 store-bought or homemade dumplings (potstickers)
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sliced shiitake or button mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped bok choy or spinach
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
- Add broth, soy sauce, and mushrooms, bring to a simmer.
- Gently place dumplings into the broth and cook for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- Add chopped bok choy and cook for another 2 minutes until wilted.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.
Notes
- You can pan-fry the dumplings beforehand for extra crunch.
- Use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
- Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
