- For the dough: 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup warm milk, 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 2 large eggs
- Filling: 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Cheesecake glaze: 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2-3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar in a bowl, let activate for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add eggs, butter, and the yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, covered.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with chopped strawberries, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 slices.
- Arrange slices in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
