- 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 1 cup small pasta (e.g., broken lasagna noodles)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef or sausage until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add cooked meat, marinara sauce, broth, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the crockpot.
- Stir well and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 15 minutes before serving, add pasta and cook until tender.
- Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese and let it melt.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining cheese, Parmesan, and fresh basil garnish.

- Can substitute ground chicken or turkey for a lighter version.
- Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
