- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce or pureed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger; cook for another minute.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Stir in tomato sauce, spices, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes allowing flavors to meld.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Cook for another 5 minutes until sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or naan.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate chicken in yogurt and spices for 30 minutes before cooking.
