Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely. For an optional glaze, mix powdered sugar with lemon juice and drizzle over cooled bars for added zest and glossiness.
