Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the edges over slightly to create a border and brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
- Once baked, drizzle the vanilla glaze over the warm kringle and serve slices warm or cooled.

- Adjust sugar and spice levels according to taste. For a chunkier apple filling, chop apples into larger pieces.
