- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form ground beef into 4 equal patties; season with salt and pepper.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
- During the last minute, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
- Cook bacon until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Toast burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese-topped beef patty, and bacon on the buns.
- Serve hot with ketchup and mustard.
