- 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the loaf about 1 inch apart, almost through to the bottom.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley in a small bowl.
- Carefully brush the garlic butter into the slices, distributing evenly.
- Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the cuts.
- Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Garnish with extra parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked bacon bits or chopped jalapenos.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
