- 1 pound (450g) of pasta (penne, macaroni, or fusilli)
- 1 pound (450g) of ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (240ml) marinara sauce
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in diced tomatoes and marinara sauce, simmering for 5-7 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine cooked pasta with the turkey mixture. Mix in half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheeses. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

- Use freshly grated cheese for better flavor and meltability.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for added nutrition.
