- 1/4 cup (60ml) of pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup (50g) of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) of melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- Optional: fresh parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Place sliced carrots into the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the glaze over the carrots, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until carrots are tender.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving if desired.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar. For extra flavor, add a splash of orange juice or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.
