Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon (optional)
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
- Prepare the marinade by combining minced garlic, grated Parmesan, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Marinate the chicken chunks in the mixture, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving space between pieces for even cooking.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, then cook the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally for even charring.
- Once cooked through, remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes. Optional: brush with melted garlic butter and sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 30 minutes for maximum flavor.
- Preheat the grill properly to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer; chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- For extra flavor, add chopped parsley or basil before serving.
