Discover the delicious and quick beef and broccoli stir-fry recipe featuring honey garlic ground beef. Perfect for weeknights and packed with flavor! This easy-to-make skillet meal combines tender ground beef, crisp broccoli, and a savory honey garlic sauce for a satisfying dinner in under 30 minutes.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey for a leaner option)
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional but adds depth)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes for a spicy kick (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  4. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic sauce over and stir well to coat everything. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce slightly thickens.

Notes

  • Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
  • Ensure the broccoli is cooked to your desired tenderness, but avoid overcooking to preserve crunch.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a different flavor profile.
