Create a spooky and fun Halloween centerpiece with these eyeball jello shots. Perfect for parties, these creepy yet adorable treats combine vibrant colors and realistic gummy eyeballs for a frighteningly festive vibe. Easy to make and sure to impress your guests, this eyeball jello recipe is a must-have for any Halloween celebration.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz) of lime or cherry flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Gummy eyeballs (available at most candy stores or online)
  • Whipped cream or frosting for decoration
  • Food coloring (optional, for extra creepy effects)

Instructions

  1. Begin by boiling 1 cup of water and pouring it into a mixing bowl with your gelatin powder. Stir thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Then, add 1 cup of cold water to cool the mixture slightly.
  2. Pour the gelatin mixture into small cups or molds, leaving enough space at the top for the eyeballs. Refrigerate for about 2-3 hours or until the gelatin is firm.
  3. Once the gelatin is set, gently place gummy eyeballs into each cup, pressing them just beneath the surface for a realistic look. You can adjust the placement depending on how creepy or subtle you want your eyeballs to appear.
  4. Decide if you’d like to enhance the spooky effect with food coloring or additional whipped cream to mimic bloody or bloody-looking eyeballs. For more fun, add drops of red food coloring around the eyeballs for a gory effect.

Notes

  • Keep your spooky jello shots refrigerated until ready to serve. They last up to 24 hours if kept chilled.
  • For transport or outdoor parties, place the jello in an airtight container and keep on ice to prevent melting.
  • Add extra food coloring or decorations for a more dramatic or gory appearance.
