- 1 lb cooked pulled beef
- 1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Add pulled beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet into squares approximately 3×3 inches.
- Place a spoonful of pulled beef mixture in the center of each square.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold over to form a neat parcel, and seal the edges.
- Place the puff parcels on the prepared baking tray. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm with dipping sauces.
Notes
- For a quicker version, use pre-cooked pulled beef from the store.
- These puffs are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheated in the oven.
