  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 300g fresh egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by marinating the sliced beef in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and a pinch of black pepper. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and grated ginger. Set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Throw in the cooked noodles and pour the sauce over. Stir well to combine, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the beef and noodles evenly.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a wok or large skillet for even cooking and better heat control.
  • Marinate the beef for at least 10 minutes for enhanced tenderness and flavor.
  • Finish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs for extra aroma and presentation.
