- 2 lemons (sliced into rounds)
- 1/2 cup grated romano cheese
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Top each piece with romano cheese and lemon slices.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine during baking.
- You can substitute romano with parmesan cheese if desired.
