- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter to make the crust; press evenly into the bottom of the dish.
- Bake crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt; cook over low heat until mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
- Pour caramel filling over the baked crust, then sprinkle chopped pecans evenly on top.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until the filling is set and pecans are toasted.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute chopped walnuts or almonds for pecans.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
