- 1/2 cup (40g) bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup (120ml) beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs and place them in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together condensed mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Arrange sliced mushrooms on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until meatballs are cooked through and flavors meld.
- Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken as a healthier alternative.
- Add a splash of red wine to the gravy for extra depth of flavor.
- Stir gently before serving to coat meatballs with the gravy evenly.
