Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Pour in whiskey, scraping up any browned bits, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and thyme, stirring well. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickened. Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure whiskey is added slowly to prevent splattering. For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a teaspoon of flour mixed with a little water.
