Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides until golden. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Pour in whiskey, scraping up any browned bits, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Add heavy cream and thyme, stirring well. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes until cooked through and sauce thickened. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure whiskey is added slowly to prevent splattering. For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a teaspoon of flour mixed with a little water.
