- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, cover, and let melt.
- Serve hot garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, substitute with gluten-free pasta.
- Add red pepper flakes for extra spice.
