This slow cooker American Goulash is a comforting and flavorful dish featuring ground beef, tender pasta, and a savory tomato sauce simmered to perfection in your crock pot.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to the crock pot. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  5. Cook the macaroni separately according to package instructions.
  6. Stir cooked pasta into the crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or grated cheese if desired.
