Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add honey, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, gently mixing until just combined to preserve fluffiness.
- If desired, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor and texture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve once cooled.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
- For longer storage, freeze slices for up to 3 months and reheat before serving.
