Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork chops, bone-in or boneless
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet along with minced garlic and thyme. Cook, spooning the garlic butter over the chops for 2 minutes.
- Remove pork chops from skillet, rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve with the garlic butter sauce spooned over.
Notes
- Ensure the pork chops are room temperature before cooking for even searing.
- You can substitute fresh thyme with rosemary or omit herbs altogether.
- Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
