Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste or marinara sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garam masala (optional but authentic)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and garam masala. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add tomato paste and stir for 2 minutes to meld flavors.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer, then return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through and coated in sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. Serve hot over rice or with naan bread.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of chicken broth or a dash of cayenne pepper for heat.
- You can substitute chicken thighs for a more tender and flavorful dish.
- Consider serving with rice, naan, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
