Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken tenders or chicken breasts cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs or regular bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for added flavor)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels and set aside.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumb mixture combined with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken strip into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to ensure an even coating.
- Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, press the breadcrumb mixture firmly onto the chicken.
- For a healthier option, use cooking spray instead of oil.
- To customize flavor, add your favorite herbs or spices to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
