  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4-6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4-6 hamburger buns or sandwich rolls
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add shredded chicken to the skillet and stir well.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes to concentrate flavors.
  4. Reduce heat to low and slowly add heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth.
  5. Mix in grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until cheese melts and sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Toast hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Cover with the top bun, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast buns slightly before assembling.
  • If the sauce thickens upon cooling, stir in a splash of milk or chicken broth when reheating.
  • Can be prepared ahead; reheat thoroughly before serving.
