Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup (60ml) chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4-6 hamburger buns or sandwich rolls
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent.
- Add shredded chicken to the skillet and stir well.
- Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes to concentrate flavors.
- Reduce heat to low and slowly add heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth.
- Mix in grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until cheese melts and sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toast hamburger buns if desired. Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
- Cover with the top bun, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toast buns slightly before assembling.
- If the sauce thickens upon cooling, stir in a splash of milk or chicken broth when reheating.
- Can be prepared ahead; reheat thoroughly before serving.
