- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 pound ground beef or chicken
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the cabbage and separate the leaves carefully.
- Blanch cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add ground meat, salt, and pepper; cook until browned.
- Mix in cooked rice and combine well.
- Place a scoop of filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
- Arrange rolls in a baking dish, pour tomato sauce over them.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy.

- You can substitute ground beef with turkey or vegetarian protein for a healthier option.
