Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add chopped spinach and sauté until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. <li id="instruction-step-3" reduce the heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over it, and simmer for 3-4 minutes to meld flavors and ensure the chicken is heated through.
Notes
- Use fresh spinach for the best flavor and texture.
- Adjust the red pepper flakes to control spice level.
- Cook chicken until an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) is reached for safety.
- This dish pairs well with garlic bread or over pasta, rice, or quinoa.
