- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add a little oil, and cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add bell pepper and broccoli to the skillet, stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, toss to coat evenly, cook for 2 more minutes.
- If desired, dissolve cornstarch in a small amount of water and stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Transfer to a plate, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in sauce for 15 minutes before cooking.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
