A simple and delicious recipe for homemade monkey bread that combines soft dough with cinnamon sugar and a caramel glaze, baked to golden perfection.

  • 2 cans of biscuit dough (about 16 oz each)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and toss in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. Layer the coated dough pieces into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts if using.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar until smooth. Pour over the dough layers in the pan.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
