- 4 large croissants, sliced
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chunks
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Arrange the croissant slices evenly in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture over the croissants, pressing lightly to soak.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra chocolate flavor, add more chocolate chips or drizzle melted chocolate on top before serving.
- Can be prepared a day ahead and baked fresh in the morning.
