Enjoy a flavorful chicken Florentine dinner with tender chicken breasts, fresh spinach, creamy sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for a comforting family meal or special occasions.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish. Pour spinach and cream sauce over the chicken.
  9. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
  11. Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Notes

  • You can substitute Parmesan with Asiago or Pecorino cheese for variation.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to complete the meal.
