- 3 large apples, peeled and sliced

- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the crust: Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla. Gradually add flour, mixing until just combined. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Spread sliced apples evenly over the crust. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, oats, and nuts if using. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into bars.

- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for the best flavor.
- For extra crunch, add additional chopped nuts on top before baking.
