- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter. Add sugar and mix well.
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra richness, add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days for freshness.
