Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs (panko or regular)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with non-stick spray.
- Cut the chicken breasts into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
- Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Coat each chicken strip first in flour, then in egg, and finally in the seasoned bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle or spray with olive oil or melted butter for extra crispiness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Remove from oven and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double coat the chicken with egg and bread crumbs.
- Serve immediately for best crispiness.
- You can add Parmesan cheese to the bread crumb coating for extra flavor.
