- 1 pound spaghetti
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Remove sauce from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- You can add cooked bacon or sautéed vegetables for extra flavor.
- For a spicy kick, mix in a pinch of red pepper flakes.
