Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips or cubes)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Season the chicken generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and oregano. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 3-5 minutes. For extra heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes as desired.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, ensuring each piece is coated with the creamy sauce. Let it simmer together for another 5 minutes until fully heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Adjust spiciness by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
- If the sauce thickens upon reheating, stir in a little warm milk or chicken broth to restore creaminess.
