- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove excess fat if needed.
- Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms; cook until softened.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well to combine.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use full-fat sour cream for a richer sauce.
- For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add a bit more flour.
- Garnish with chopped parsley for added color and flavor.
