Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry or pizza dough
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons garlic butter, melted
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with chopped onion, paprika, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry or pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Spread a thin layer of garlic butter over the dough.
- Evenly distribute the cooked beef mixture over the dough, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Roll the dough tightly from one long side to the other, sealing the edge.
- Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch slices. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a shiny, golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
- For extra flavor, add diced pickles or sliced jalapenos before rolling.
