Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
- Slider buns (mini hamburger buns)
- For the Bang Bang sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust for heat preference)
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts or thighs with salt and pepper. Cut the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for slider bites. Set aside.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for panko bread crumbs. Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat evenly with panko crumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice. Adjust spice levels to taste.
- Spread the Bang Bang sauce generously on the slider buns. Place crispy chicken pieces on each bun, top with more sauce, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
Notes
- Add a slice of cheese or pickles for extra flavor layers.
- Use chicken tenders instead of diced chicken for quicker prep.
- For a healthier option, bake the chicken instead of frying.
- Adjust spice levels by varying sriracha or hot sauce amounts.
