Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper for baking
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and rapidly stir in the flour until a dough ball forms. Let cool slightly.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy. Stir in vanilla extract for flavor.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray. Pipe the dough into 2-inch strips or small balls using a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Coat the shaped dough generously with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Optionally, broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching carefully to prevent burning.
