Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Thoroughly mash the bananas with a fork until smooth. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth.
- Stir in the mashed bananas gently into the wet ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- If desired, fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Notes
- Using very ripe bananas enhances sweetness and flavor.
- Avoid overmixing to maintain a tender crumb.
- Substitute butter with Greek yogurt or applesauce for a healthier version.
